President Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government has confirmed the reappointment of Shekarau Omar as Executive Director, Small and Medium Enterprises ( SME).
Omar was reappointed for a second term of four years in office as the Executive Director, of SME.
The development was confirmed by the Bank of Industry (BoI) in a statement.
The statement reads: “He has repositioned the directorate through remarkable expansion of the portfolio and marked improvement of the risk assets quality.”
The Informant247 recalls that Omar received his first appointment in 2019, after Waheed Olagunju retired from the bank.
Before he got appointed as the executive director of the bank, he was the general manager, SME north.
Omar later served as the general manager, large enterprises.
