Family aide fingered in Adelabu’s sister kidnap case

The Oyo State Police Command has disclosed that a personal assistant attached to a member of the family of former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, is allegedly connected to the kidnapping of his sister and her two children in Ibadan.

The Command’s spokesperson, CSP Olayinka Ayanlade, said preliminary investigations suggest that the abduction may have involved an insider who had close access to the family.

He noted that findings so far indicate the suspect allegedly collaborated with the kidnappers and played a role in facilitating the operation that led to the abduction in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Ayanlade added that security operatives have intensified efforts to track down all those involved and secure the safe rescue of the victims.

According to him, the police are working to dismantle the network behind the crime and ensure that all perpetrators are brought to justice.

He assured residents that investigations are ongoing and further details would be made available as developments unfold.
