Ex-NBA scribe, Abaya, bags community award

One of the former scribes of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ilorin branch, Barrister Sulyman Abaya, will today, be decorated with community award of excellent by the Magaji Ngeri Joint Youth Development Association, Ilorin, Kwara State.
Abaya is been recognised by the association for his humanitarian services to the people of the ancient town, particularly, the 15 registered Communities Development Association across Magaji Ngeri Ward.
Speaking with the chairman of the association, Abdurasaq Jimba, gave reason for chosing the Ilorin born lawyer their award recipient.
According to him, Abaya has contributed immensely to the development of the association and has assisted many people financially.
He added that through his earnings, (Abaya), he ensured he put smiles on the faces of many people in the society saying his impact can never be over emphasised.
“Barrister Abaya is man that n weed to be celebrated and honour. He has always be supporting us spiritually morally and financially. He’s a wealth of ideas and he never seize to give us whenever the need arises,”
He, however, urged members of the community to emulate the good gesture of the former secretary of the NBA saying such will aide the growth of the country.
A member of the community, Abdulrasheed Jimoh, who also lend voice over the honour to be bestowed on Abaya lauded the Magaji Ngeri Joint Youth Development Association for recognising and appreciating good works.
Jimoh said, “I’ve known the lawyer (Abaya) since I was in secondary school, I know him to be a good man whose words of advice alone is enough to make you forget your sorrows. He doesn’t have much but he’s always ready to give. His counsel meant so much to me, I wish we could have much of him in our days. He deserves the awards even greater ones. May God continue to bless him.”
