Ex-Nassarawa gov, Olanipekun, others for Ilorin Bar award
Former Governor of Nassarawa State, Umar Tanko Al Makura and legal luminary, Chief Wole Olanipekun SAN are among the recipients of this year’s Ilorin bar awards.
While Al Makura will bag an Award of Excellence, Olanipekun for his part will take the Life Time Achievement Award.
The awardee will be honoured at a dinner event organised by the Nigerian Bar Association, Ilorin Branch which is scheduled to hold at the De-Peace Hotel, Tanke Area, Ilorin on Friday, December 3 by 5PM.
Others to bag Distinguished Merit Awards are Mr. Y. C. Maikyau, SAN; and Alhaji A.U. Mustapha SAN.
Chief Teju Adeyemi and Mrs. S. T. Usman will have Awards of Honour.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the dinner committee, Dr. Mubarak Adekilekun told the newsmen in Ilorin – the capital of Kwara State – that the committee has concluded arrangements to beam the event to viewers via live streaming.
