Ex-Managing Director, National Bank, Pius Ajumobi, dies at 85
Pius Ajumobi, an ex-managing director of the old National Bank has sided at 85.
Ajumobi passed away, Friday at Mercy Hospital, Isikan, Akure in Ondo State.
The traditional monarch of the Isinkan, Oba Oluwagbemiga Olofin-Adimula, confirmed the incident to journalists in Akure, the capital of the State.
While expressing his condolence gesture to the wife of the deceased, the traditional king declared that the country has lost “an iconic banker.”
Till he died, the deceased was the leader of the Aso Ugbosanmi people in Ilaje Local Government Area of the state.
It was learned that he studied banking and economics at the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom.
He’s survived by Olufunmilayo, his wife, children and grandchildren.
