Ex-Kwara deputy speaker CT Ayeni dies in road accident along Ajase-Ipo

Hon. Christopher Tunji Ayeni, fondly called CT Ayeni, a former deputy speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, has been reported dead in a fatal road accident.

The Informant247 gathered that the unfortunate incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday along Ajase-Ipo road in the Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State when the deceased was travelling to Ilorin.

According to reports, CT Ayeni was reportedly driving a Hilux vehicle with an unidentified passenger when the tragic incident happened.

Prior to his death, Ayeni was a prominent figure in Kwara politics. He was the 2023 House of Representatives candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and recently decamped to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He held the traditional title of Akogun of Isapa Land in Ekiti Local Government Area of the state.
