Ex-DMW signee Yonda begs Davido to take him back

A year after making a contentious comment on the conflict between his ex-boss and singer Burna Boy, Yonda, a former DMW signee, has pleaded with music industry figurehead Davido to pardon him for his wrongdoings.

The musician used social media to reveal a chat he had asked for another chance with the Afrobeats icon.

Burna Boy’s dispute with Davido over a song he wrote was discussed by Yonda in an interview in December 2021.

Yonda stated that after Burna Boy appeared to “sleep on it,” Davido stole the song he had originally prepared for the Twice As Tall star.

He revealed to Davido that he had been blacklisted in the music industry and his music career is dead; Yonda appealed to be taken back into the DMW family like the prodigal son.

The DMW boss reacted by telling his ex-signee that he misses him too.

Yonda persisted in pleading with him, saying that Davido was the best thing that ever happened to him.
His message read:
