Emir of Kaiama extols CELF organiser

Emir of Kaiama, Kaiama Local Government of Kwara State, Alhaji Muazu Sheu Umar has eulogised the Haashim Initiative for Community Advancement (HICA), the organiser of the Countryside Emerging Leaders’ Fellowship (CELF) for finding Kaiama indigenes deserved of the project.

The traditional ruler, who gave this commendation while receiving in audience, the CELF delegation who made a courtesy call at his palace on Yesterday, saidb the project was timely and purposeful.

He commented: “We thank you for remembering Kaiama Emirate for this initiative against all odds, notably the condition of the road which you plied to this place. If you had stayed back in Ilorin, we wouldnt have known about CELF.

“I was informed about the issue you encountered on your way coming and I thank you for the good gesture you extend to us. We also thank all your promoters and sponsors for their kind-heartedness.”

Alhaji Umar resolved to always support the Emirate for the success of the project and charged stakeholders to align with the organiser.

While reacting, the CELF Coordinator, Kaiama Local Government, Mr. Usman Bio Yaqub decribed the project “as a welcome idea” and sought improved slots for indigenes of the council.

Meanwhile, CELF Coordinator, Baruten Local Government, Mr. Ibrahim Semo Musa noted that the orientation programme has given them an insight of the project and assured that parents of the shortlisted candidates would be contacted and sensitised on the project.

Attendees were educated on community development, CELF and roles of the project coordinators.
