Electoral committee clears ten contestants for Kwara FA election
The Electoral committee for the Kwara State Football Association elective congress billed for June 13th has cleared ten candidates ahead of the elections.
The contestants cleared for the exercise include those vying for the Chairman, vice Chairman and board members positions.
Incumbent Idris Abdullahi Musa and Engineer Ahmed Olaide were cleared for the Chairmanship race while Bashorun Kayode Bankole was also cleared for the vice chairmanship position.
However, seven other candidates cleared for board member positions include Hajia Segilola Alaya, Adeshina Bello, Wasiu Lawal, Manzuma Maliki, Tunde Sanni, Abubakar Ahmed and Salaudeen Jimoh.
The Chairman of the election screening committee, Alhaji Sule Abbas-Ahmed said that the exercise was conducted in accordance with the electoral guideline,code and statutes of the football Association.
In his own remarks, Mr. Emmanuel Obafemi, the Chairman of the Electoral committee promised to conduct free and fair elections.
He advised the stakeholders to be law abiding, before , during and after the elections noting that the state is known as the state of Harmony.
The election will take place at Kaiama local government area of Kwara State on June 13.
