Elders, youth groups unite in prayer, back Shagaya’s continued representation

Elders, youth groups and key stakeholders in Ojuekun/Zarumi Ward on Monday converged for a special prayer session in honour of the lawmaker representing the constituency, Hon. Muktar Tolani Shagaya, expressing support for his continued representation.

The prayer gathering, organised by the Shagaya Consolidation Team, held at the Honourable Shagaya Ward in Ojuekun/Zarumi, drew a large turnout of community leaders and residents, who described the event as a moment of gratitude, reflection and renewed commitment to collective progress.

Leading the elders’ delegation, Alhaji Olosasa, alongside other prominent figures, commended the lawmaker’s performance, noting that his contributions have positively impacted the constituency. They offered prayers for sustained wisdom, strength and success in his service.

Youth-based organisations, including the Muktar Shagaya Movement, Oju-Ekun, and the Youth Development Association of Ojuekun, were also in attendance, signalling growing grassroots support across different segments of the community.

Speaking during the event, the guest lecturer, Fadhilat Sheikh Umar Faruq (Saahibul Bayaan), stressed the importance of unity, gratitude and sustained commitment to development.

He lauded Shagaya’s representation, describing it as impactful and value-driven, while praying for divine guidance as he continues in office.

Participants at the gathering expressed satisfaction with the lawmaker’s performance, voicing optimism for greater achievements.

They also urged him to sustain his representation, describing the prayer session as part of broader efforts to encourage his continued service.

The Shagaya Consolidation Team, in a remark, appreciated attendees for their support and unity, noting that such collective commitment remains vital for advancing development within the constituency.
