Ebonyi Police arrest a fake officer deceiving the public

The Ebonyi State Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Garba has announced the arrest of a fake police officer.

The fake police officer who was identified as Enyi Friday, paraded himself as a police officer and deceived people around in the state.

The suspect, Enyi is an indigene of Umunwagu Idembia community in Ezza South LGA of Ebonyi State and has been arrested for impersonation.

Enyi, was caught in police uniform of a Police Corporal and was therefore arrested.

The spokesperson of the police in the state, SP Chris Anyanwu, has on behalf of the commissioner of police, said the suspect has been transferred to the State Investigation and Intelligence Department for further interrogation.

He implored members of the public to continue to liaise with the Police in the State to get rid of criminal elements.
