The Nigerian ladies displayed dominance throughout the match, maintaining a comfortable 15-point lead in the third quarter
Morse historically, this achievement happened under the auspices of their newly appointed Coach, Rena Wakama.
US-based Wakama had only been appointed few weeks to the tournament but the team was still able to show class throughout the tournament.
This year’s victory by D’Tigress is record breaking as the Nigerian Ladies have become only the second team ever after Senegal to win four consecutive titles.
Since 2017 , the D’Tigress have monopolised the Women’s basketball on the African continent ending the dominance of countries like Angola and Senegal
