DSS arrests Doctor allegedly supplying Drugs to Kwara Kidnapping syndicates

The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested a medical doctor accused of transporting medical supplies from Sokoto to suspected kidnapping gangs operating in parts of Kwara State.

This was contained in a statement posted on the Kwara State Facebook page on Friday.

The suspect was apprehended in the Jebba, Moro local government area after intelligence reports traced him to a drug-delivery network linked to the criminal groups.

According to security sources, the gangs have recently shown increased desperation for medical attention, especially for treating gunshot wounds sustained during confrontations with security operatives.

“We are advising heightened security in health facilities located around thick forest areas, as these could become targets for the kidnappers seeking urgent medical care,” a security official warned.
