Don’t carry two passengers in front seat, KWARTMA warns Taxi
In line with the COVID-19 safety protocols, the Kwara State Road Traffic Management Authority has again warned Taxi drivers against carrying two passengers in front seat of their vehicles at a time.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Authority, Yekeen Bello, gave the warning during a meeting with executives of taxi driver unions in Kwara State, on Monday.
The traffic boss advised the leadership unions to ensure their members make good use of the Soludero Motor Park at the Post Office Area Ilorin and adhere strictly to the COVID-19 protocols by avoiding overloading of their vehicles especially by not to carry two passengers in the front seat of their vehicles.
The Unions for their part requested for Bus-Stops in areas like Ahmadu Bello way (Yoruba Road Junction), Muritala Muhammed way, Post Office and Lajonrin to ensure that their members get secure place to park without fear of been arrested.
