Don’t allow politicians use you, ‘shine your eyes’, Gov Wike fumes

The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has said that Nigerians need to be careful and not allow politicians who are desperate to get power by all means, to use them.

The governor made this revelation on Sunday at the St. Paul’s Cathedral, Diobu-Port Harcourt while having the Rivers State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dedication Service ahead of the 2023 Election Campaigns.

The Governor has informed church members to ‘shine their eyes’.

The Informant247 learned that to ‘shine one’s eyes’ means to be at alert and not allow others take advantage of one.

“All of us should participate in the politics of Nigeria but the church must not be used as if we are fighting a religious war.

“We have to be careful so that the church is not destroyed,” the governor said.

Wike revealed that it is not democratic for All Progressives Congress, APC to present a Muslim-Muslim presidential agenda.

He said likewise, it’s not fair for the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, to present a northerner as a successor for president Muhammadu Buhari who’s also from the North.

“We cannot hand over govt to unserious people,” Wike said, adding that political parties must pay to use any public facility in Rivers.
