David Beckham’s son makes debut for Brentford team

David Beckham was present on Tuesday night to watch his son Romeo make his debut for the Brentford B team.

Beckham, 47, was spotted at the London Senior Cup clash between Erith & Belvedere and the Bees’ reserves.

New signing Romeo, 20, came off the bench after 55 minutes as Brentford won 3-2 thanks to an injury-time strike from Michael Olakigbe.

Brentford boss Neil MacFarlane was full of praise for the young midfielder who also had a couple of chances during his time of the game.

As quoted by the Bees’ official website, the gaffer said: “Romeo really drove us forward in the wing back position

“He created some really good moments for us with some terrific deliveries. He had an opportunity to score as well and I was thrilled with him and the group in general for keeping on the front foot. We never gave up and we got through.”

He added: “Our subs made an unbelievable impact and that’s what we want, everyone pushing each other and keep helping the group move forward because we had a brilliant 2022 and we just want to keep getting better in the new year.
