Danladi, Mustapha hail Gold on birthday
The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Yakubu Salihu Danladi, on Saturday, praised his media aide, Ibrahim Sheriff (Gold), on the occasion of his birthday.
A statement personally signed by the speaker read, “When I was elected member, Kwara State House of Assembly to represent Ilesha/Gwanara constituency, I knew I’ll never settle for less towards ensuring that my people who had suffered years of neglect gets dividends of democracy.
“When I showed interest and signs were positive that I’ll be the next Speaker of the 9th House of Assembly, I knew my mandate had increased and thus needed friends, allies and aides that’ll always assist and push me to success, as the number 3 man in the State.
“Knowing that Gold was one of the frontline youth that championed the otoge movement during the electioneering period, I started nosing around about him and the feedback I got was he’s a workaholic, he never betrays on set goals and will always speak truth to power.
“With those overwhelming review, I knew I had gotten myself a media aide, who’ll not only relay my thoughts to the public, but also help guide and advise on possible reactions hat’ll trail some of our impending actions and inactions.
“I must say one year down the line, he’s proven to be a dependable, loyal and dedicated member of the 9th Kwara State House of Assembly success stories, I have never regretted settling for him.
“I on behalf of myself, my family, House members and indeed the otoge government congratulate and appreciate Comr. Ibrahim Sheriff Gold and pray he continues to stand and abide by our shared values of a progressive Kwara that works for all and sundry.”
Also the Chairman Board of Trustees, Sobi 101.9 FM, Mall. Lukman Mustapha described Gild as a ‘one man mopol’.
He said, “The positive review the Rebirth movement got and still continue to get was due to Comr. Gold and his team, who worked tirelessly to conceptualise, develop, market and ensure the Rebirth ideology permeates the nooks and crannies of the State.
“I remember our endless journey traversing the length and breadth of Kwara State selling the Rebirth messages as the process of Kwara liberation… Gold was the organiser, interpreter, driver, security personnel, Disk Jockey and many more rolled into one. If you were not a witness of the past, his current achievements as the S.A. Media and Publicity to the KWHA Speaker are enough testimonies to his great marvelous personality.
