Dangote refinery to launch nationwide fuel distribution with free delivery August 15
In a transformative development for Nigeria’s fuel supply landscape, Dangote Petroleum Refinery has unveiled plans to commence nationwide distribution of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and diesel starting August 15, 2025.
As part of this significant initiative, the refinery will introduce 4,000 brand-new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered tankers, ensuring efficient delivery across the nation without imposing additional costs on consumers.
This rollout will serve a wide range of customers, including petrol stations, fuel marketers, manufacturers, telecom companies, aviation operators, and other large-scale consumers throughout Nigeria.
To bolster efficient delivery, Dangote is investing in CNG booster stations and has strategically positioned over 100 CNG tankers to ensure seamless and sustainable distribution.
Additionally, the refinery is offering a credit facility to bulk buyers, allowing customers who purchase a minimum of 500,000 litres to access an additional 500,000 litres on credit for two weeks, supported by a bank guarantee.
This nationwide program is expected to significantly reduce logistics costs, lower fuel prices, revive dormant petrol stations, create job opportunities, and enhance energy access in rural and underserved communities.
Describing the rollout as a pivotal step toward stabilizing fuel supply, Dangote Petroleum Refinery emphasized its alignment with the Federal Government’s Naira-for-Crude policy and President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“Our mission is centered on inclusive growth and affordability,” a company spokesperson stated. “We are committed to ensuring that no community is left behind in accessing cleaner and more efficient energy.”
