COVID-19: Kwara Assembly postpones resumption indefinitely

The leadership of the Kwara State House of Assembly has postponed the resumption of plenary earlier scheduled for Tuesday, March 24 indefinitely.

A statement by the Clerk to the Kwara State Assembly, Hajia Halimah Jummai Kperogi, on Monday, explained that the shift in the resumption date was “in line with government’s strategies to avert incident of CONVID-19 Pandemic, especially the closure of Public Institutions.”

The Clerk disclosed that a new date for the resumption of Plenary will be announced at a later date.

The State Legislature further urged Kwarans to abide by recommendations on how to stay safe from the CONVID-19 Pandemic.
