COVID-19: HMA-Medical/Ayo-Ayodele Pharmaceuticals group donates N2m to Kwara

HMA Medical/Ayo-Ayodele Pharmaceuticals Group , has donated N2 million to the Kwara State Government to assist it in combating the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The Group Executive Director and Managing Director, on Wednesday, presented the cheque to the state’s deputy governor and chairman of COVID-19 Technical Committee, Mr Kayode Alabi at his office on behalf of the group’s chairman, Hon. Ayodele Shittu.

Speaking on the donation, Shittu said it is imperative that everyone Kwaran set aside differences and support the government to make the state free of the virus.

He further advised Kwara residents to strictly follow the preventive measures and obey the “stay-at-home” directives issued to prevent the spread of the deadly virus which has claimed thousands of lives worldwide.

Reacting to this, the Deputy Governor, Mr Kayode Alabi appreciated the kind gesture of the company, saying that the money will go a long way in helping in the fight.

He promised that the government will be transparent in its spending of the money and it will be judiciously used for its purpose.
