COVID-19: FG mourns Kwara-born doctor, Alfa Saadu, others

The Federal Government has expressed condolences about the death of a Kwara born medical doctor, Alfa Saadu, and some Nigerians living abroad who died as a result of the coronavirus contagion.

The message was expressed by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission on Friday, via its Twitter handle @nidcom_gov.

The condolence message focused on those who died in two countries — the United Kingdom and the United States of America.

NIDCOM says, “Today we remember our brothers and sisters in the diaspora who have died from #COVIDー19.

“You are never forgotten.”

The agency listed the names of the departed Nigerians as Dr. Alfa Sa’adu; Carol Jamabo, Dr. Kole Abayomi (SAN) and Bode Ajanlekoko.

Others are: Adeola Onasanya; Ugochukwu Erondu; Gerald Durueke; Andrew Njoku; Mrs. Mmaete Gregg; Akeem Adagun.

They all died in the United Kingdom.

Those who passed away in the United States of America as a result of the contagion are: Bassey Offiong; Apostle Caleb Anya; Hajia Laila Abubakar Ali; and Mrs. Patricia Imobhio.

“May their souls rest in perfect peace,” NIDCOM prayed.
