COVID-19: AbdulRazaq mourns Kwara-born doctor, Alfa Saadu

The Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mall AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on Tuesday, condoled the Alanamu and Ahman-Pategi families over the death of Dr Alfa Saadu who has just died in the United Kingdom.

Saadu, a renowned medical doctor, died of complications from COVID-19 in the United Kingdom where he had lived and worked for many years.

AbdulRazaq, in a condolence message by his spokesperson, Rafiu Ajakaye, in Ilorin, commiserated with the family and associates of the deceased.

He noted that the late Saadu made tremendous contributions to the advancement of humanity through his medical profession.

AbdulRazaq said as a public health expert, he saved many lives in London as he did across Africa and will be greatly missed.

He said, “Our condolences go to the immediate and extended families of the late Dr Alfa. We pray to the Almighty Allah to grant him al-jannah firdaus, keep his family after him, and save our world from this public health enemy number one. That said, this death closer home should remind our people that COVID-19 is not a hoax as some persons have claimed. Our best shot is to take all precautions and respect safety protocols recommended by health authorities.”
