Court remands 2 men for allegedly defecating in mosque
A Shari’a Court in Magajin Gari, Kaduna State on Thursday has issued an order that Nura Usman and Adamu Dauda be remanded in a correctional facility for an alleged defecation in a mosque.
The police, therefore, charged the suspects with public nuisance and inciting violence.
The case before Justice Malam Rilwanu Kyaudai, was adjourned until April 28 for the police to present witnesses.
The Prosecution Counsel, Insp Ibrahim Shuaibu, earlier explained that the two men were handed over to the Tudun Wada Police station on April 11 by members of the community.
He further narrated that Usman was caught defecating in a mosque situated on Alkalawa road, Tudun Wada Kaduna around 2 p.m.
Meanwhile, Dauda, the second defendant had promised to reward Usman with the sum of N20, 000 to defecate in the mosque.
They however pleaded not guilty.
