No fewer than 113 stranded Nigerians in the Niger Republic were on Monday, received by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA)into the country.
According to a press statement by the Lagos Territorial Office coordinator of NEMA, Ibrahim Farinloye, the returnees were flown into the country by the International Organisation for Migration in a voluntary capacity and landed at the Muritala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos State, at about 2 pm on a Sky Mali chartered flight.
The statement partly reads, “The Returnees who were assisted back to the country voluntarily by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) landed at about 1415 hours.
“The chartered flight Sky Mali with registration number TZ-SMA Boeing 737-500 had 15 adult females including 2 with medical cases and 76 adult males, seven female children, 15 male children, and one female infant respectively aboard the aircraft agencies.”
