Copyright Issue: Carter Efe Claims Full Right Machala Song

Oderhohwo Joseph Efe, popularly known as Carter Efe, a well-known comedian and singer, has shared the process of creating Machala, a song that went viral.

This comes after the song’s removal from streaming services due to a dispute over the song’s copyright between the creator of the skit and a Berri Tiga.

Before it was taken down from streaming services, the song “Machala” was predicted to be the song of the summer. It caused controversy as well since Carter was criticized for trying to get Wizkid, also known as “Machala,” to pay attention to him.

According to him “I was at home with my guy and started to put some instrumental beats on youtube. I started to chant Machala. It was then it occurred to me that if I do a song like this, it will go viral”

Carter described the process of creating the song that went viral in a conversation with media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
