Buhari sacks NIPC boss, Saratu Umar
President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday April 6, 2023 dismissed the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission, Hajiya Saratu Umar with immediate effect.
This was confirmed in a statement released by the presidential media aide, Femi Adesina on Thursday titled ‘President Buhari terminates appointment of Saratu Umar as NIPC boss.’
This came barely a week following the surface of report faulting lines in the administration of the commission.
The report blamed the challenges facing the Commission on NIPC boss’ the “incompetence and mismanagement”.
