Buhari directs security agents to arrest killers of NSCDC personnel in Kaduna

President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned the killing of 7 officers of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) by suspected bandits on Monday.

The Informant247 recalls that 7 officers of the NSCDC, 5 vigilantes and 6 miners were killed at the Kuriga mining site in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna state.

Reacting, a presidential media aide, Garba Shehu in a statement released on Thursday, ordered security agencies to make sure the bandits are arrested and be made to face the law.

The president commended the officers for sacrificing their lives for the country and prayed that the Almighty grant their family of the victims fortitude to bear the loss.

“The NSCDC personnel who braved all challenges to guard our nation and its people had made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, my thoughts are with the bereaved families and their compatriots in the service, May God grant them and the entire service the fortitude to bear the loss.”
