Breaking: Kwara United terminate appointment of two coaches, club’s psychologist

Kwara United has shown exit doors to some of the staff of the club.

The Informant247 exclusively gathered on Monday that the club Chief Coach, Lukman Ijaiya, Goalkeeper trainer, Coach Abdullahi Oseni and the club long serving Psychologist, Gbenga Akinola were relieved of their duties.

The media Officer of the club, Jimoh Bashir confirmed the development and said the staff were shown the exit door after the expiration of their contract.

“Their contract has ended. Everybody that is a Coach has their tenure spelt out in their contract whether two years or three years.

Asked on what the content of the letter is, Bashir said “I don’t know whether it’s a sack letter or not. What I learnt is that the chairman told me last week that their contract has ended and will have to think about whether to reengage them or should let them go,” he said.

Speaking to the Psychologist, he confirmed the development, adding that he was served with a letter of disengagement earlier on Monday.

“Absolutely correct. I got the letter just about an hour ago. That is life; in as much as there are days there will be night, everything that has a beginning also has an end,” he said.

Asked what the letter of disengagement reads, Coach Lukman Ijaiya said, “Officially, I have been sacked. The letter reads termination of appointment.

Ijaiya stressed that there’s nothing like expiration of contract in his letter, noting that “there’s was no letter of contract for me before” .
