[Breaking] Hijab crisis: 3 injured as Christians, Muslims clash in Ilorin

At least three people have been reportedly injured as Muslims and Christians clashed over the Hijab saga in Ilorin, the Kwara State Capital.

The incident occurred at Baptist Secondary School, Ilorin when Christians faithful barricaded the Schools’ entrance to prevent Muslim students from entering the school premises.

Recall that Kwara State Government, on Tuesday, announced the reopening of the 10 schools that were recently shut down over the hijaab question, However, maintained that the government is convinced that its policy to allow willing Muslim schoolgirls to wear their hijaab in public schools will lead to sustainable peace and communal harmony anchored on mutual respect and understanding.

The clash erupted around 9:00 am when parents of Muslim students arrived at the scene to enquire the reason why their children were not granted access as directed by the state government.
