Breaking: Akpabio emerges as Senate President for the 10th assembly
Senator Godswill Akpabio has emerged as the Senate President of Nigeria’s 10th assembly.
Akpabio defeated his closest rival, Senator Abdulaziz Yari from Zamfara State on Tuesday at the inauguration of the 10th assembly
The former Governor of Akwa Ibom State who is representing the north-west senatorial district of the state polled a total number of 63 votes to defeat Yari who got votes 46.
He has been sworn-in immediately.
