Bauchi Police declare popular Rep wanted, place N1m bounty on him

The Bauchi State police command has declared a member of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Shehu wanted over alleged homicide.

The police command also placed a bounty of N1m on the lawmaker representing Bauchi federal constituency.

The lawmaker was declared wanted for causing grievous hurt, criminal conspiracy, culpable homicide and incitement of disturbance of public peace.

He was declared wanted by the spokesperson of the state police command, Ahmed Wakil, in a statement released on Tuesday, March 14.

“The police are seeking anyone with valid information that will lead to his arrest for interrogation and arraignment on criminal charges,” the bulletin reads.

“Anyone with information that could assist in his arrest should please contact 08151849417 or report at any nearest police station.”

The police revealed that anyone with reliable information about his whereabout should call on the police authority.

He was elected to the lower chamber of the national assembly on the platform of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP).
