Bandits shot Imam, kidnap 18 worshippers in Katsina mosque
A mosque was attacked by bandits in Funtua Local Government Area of Katsina State on Saturday.
The bandits attacked the mosque in Maigamji village when worshippers were observing Isha’i prayer on Saturday.
Alhaji Lawal Maigamji, a former councillor of Maigamji ward in Funtua LGA of Katsina, Alhaji Lawal Maigamji, has confirmed the attack.
Maigamji has narrated that the bandits shot at 2 persons.
He said they shot at Imam who was leading the prayer and kidnapped 18 other persons.
It was gathered that some of the kidnapped victims later escaped.
