Bandits raid Zamfara community, abduct lawmaker’s wife, children
Some suspected bandits have reportedly abducted the wife of the Zamfara State House of Assembly member, Aminu Ardo Jangebe and his four children.
Also abducted were his two neighbours, Alhaji Yahaya and Sa,adu Mainama.
Sani Abubakar, an indigene of the town while speaking to newsmen, said the bandits arrived the town around 11 o’clock pm on Thursday and started shooting sporadically to scare people.
Abubakar explained that many people took to their heels on hearing the gunshots, while others shut their doors to avoid abduction, while saying the bandits went straight to the residence of Aminu Ardo where they broke the gate to gain entry.
“Immediately the bandits entered into the house, they abducted the wife of the Honourable member and his four children.
“As they were coming out of the house, they spotted two of his neighbours, MalamYahaya and Sa,adu Mainama who they also abducted,” he said.
Abubakar said the bandits also took away a motorcycle belonging to one of the abducted persons.
