Two children, on Monday, lost their lives in a lone accident involving a Toyota car at Ade Best axis, Isara, on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Mrs Florence Okpe, the spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, confirming the incident to newsmen in Abeokuta, said the incident occurred at 8:00 am on Monday and was caused by speeding and loss of control.

She further explained that the car ran into a ditch.

According to her, five people- comprising three children, one man and a woman – were involved in the accident.

“One Toyota car with registration number TTD 985 AA. The suspected cause of the lone crash was excessive speed, and the vehicle suddenly lost control and ran into a ditch.

“The injured victims were taken to Victory Hospital, Ogere, for medical attention while the deceased corpses were deposited at Isara General Hospital morgue,” she said.
