Arteta opens up on reinforcement of Arsenal attacking line

Mikel Arteta has not ruled out the possibility of Arsenal getting reinforcement upfront as they continue their campaign in the current season.

Gunners spanked Oxford United 3-0 on Monday to set up a fourth round clash with Manchester City.

Asked whether Arsenal needed more strength up front considering the form of Eddie Nketiah, the manager noted that the club will continue to rely on what it has presently even though as he didn’t rule out ‘reinforcement’

“The problem is we have only one! And to go for that many months till Jesus is back is not easy. But we have to get the most out of the players that we have at the moment and if we can have some reinforcements – great” he said.

Arteta also spoke glowingly of Eddie’s two goal at the game, noting that the forward has improved tremendously.

“He showed great composure. He is a great finisher and the timing of his runs as well. The decision making to wait to the last moment shows his quality. It’s not only that – his understanding, his work rate I think is getting better and better. And I’m really happy with him”

Arsenal will face Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday in their next Premier league game.
