Arteta gives update on Partey’s injury after FA loss to City
Thomas Partey has been scheduled to undergo an MRI scan after picking up a knock that saw him off at half-time in Friday’s 1-0 FA Cup loss to Manchester City.
Speaking after the game , Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has said the Ghanian midfielder had discomfort after the break hence the his replacement by Albert Sambi Lokonga.
“He felt something and we didn’t want to take any risks, so he could not continue. He had some discomfort and it was getting worse and worse” he told reporters.
“Tomorrow or the day after we’ll have to have an MRI scan and see what he has.”
Partey has been an all time contributor to Arsenal’s impressive run in the current season -making 16 Premier League starts- but with the look of things, he may be for a time out with an apparent rib issue
