Argentine FA renames training complex after Lionel Messi
The Argentine Football Association’s training complex has been renamed after Lionel Messi.
The training complex in Ezeiza was formerly named after Humberto Grondona in 2914.
The renaming of the three-storey building by the Claudio Tapia led AFA was a tribute to his heroic performance that saw his team win the World Cup last year.
Messi on hiw own part was grateful for the recognition.
“I’m very grateful for this recognition, it’s very moving for me,” Messi admitted.
“I’ve been coming here for almost 20 years and from the first day I entered I felt a very special energy.
“This place is something sensational and to this day every time I enter, I think that the energy in this place is something very special
