The All Progressives Congress (APC) has scheduled July 2 and 3 to hold its national caucus and national executive committee (NEC) meetings respectively.
This was made known by
Festus Fuanter, acting national secretary of the APC on Friday.
He noted that the meeting was pursuant to articles 12.5 and 25.2(i) of the APC constitution.
Among those invited for the meetings are the president, vice-president, senate president, speaker of the house of representatives, national chairman, deputy chairs (north and south), national secretary, national legal adviser, national treasurer, national organising secretary, national youth leader, and national leader of persons living with disabilities are among those invited.
Also expected to be in attendance are Former President Muhammadu Buhari and Yemi Osinbajo, the immediate past vice-president.
While the national caucus gathering will be held at the presidential villa, party leaders will converge in Transcorp Hilton for the NEC meeting the next day.
The national caucus and NEC meetings were initially billed to hold on July 10 and 11 respectively before it was postponed because of the schedule of President Bola Tinubu who was recently elected as the chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
Recent and controversial developments within the party includes the resignation of its Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu and National Secretary, Iyiola Omisore
