Alleged rape, assault victims sue Erolalijanah, others, demand N100m damages
A popular Ilorin-based Islamic cleric, Ustadh Abdulrahman Shafihi known as ‘Ero lalijannah’, Abdulrahman Yunus, Yunus Maryam, Sodiq Sheu and Ambali Abdulfatai have been dragged before a Kwara State High court by the duo of Medinah Shehu and Yunus Basheeroh Taiye for violation of their Fundamental Human Rights.
Medinah Shehu, through her lawyer, Barrister Y.Y Ajibade demanded a whooping sum of Hundred Million in Damages following alleged imprisonment, rape, criminal conspiracy, assault and battery meted out on her.
Meanwhile, Yunus Basheeroh Taiye has, through the same lawyer sought a court injunction restraining the defendant from further infringing upon her Fundamental Human Rights.
It would be recalled that the duo in a viral video few weeks ago, had accused Ero Lalijannah of trampling upon their religion freedom.
In the footage, Medinah alleged the cleric of forcefully abducting and marrying her off to one Ambali Abdulfatai, who reportedly raped and impregnated her.
In her narration, Yunus Basheeroh Taiye, claimed that the cleric ordered a thorough battery on her as a result of her refusal to kneel down in the course of greeting her parents, which is in line with doctrine of her religion.
