Akwa Ibom NSCDC appoints new commandant, Imam
The Akwa Ibom State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC has appointed Adam Imam as the new commandant.
This was confirmed in a statement released by the spokesperson of the corps, Friday Ekerete, in Uyo, the capital of the state on Tuesday.
The spokesman of the corps revealed that Imam, who’s the 14th commandant in the state, took over the mantle of responsibility from Suleiman Mafara who’s been moved to National Headquarters, Abuja, the country’s capital.
The statement reads: “Akwa Ibom State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has received a new state commandant. He is Commandant Adam Yusuf Imam PhD.
“He takes over from Commandant Suleiman Ibrahim Mafara who has been redeployed to NSCDC National Headquarters, Abuja.”
