Again! LMC Bans fans from watching Kwara United’s games

Kwara United have again been ordered by the League Management Company (LMC) to play their subsequent home games this season behind closed doors.

The development was contained in a letter sent to the Chairman of Kwara United Kumbi Titiloye on Monday.

In the letter, the LMC explained that they are not pleased with how some fans gained entrance into the stadium for the NPFL match-day 28 clash against Shooting Stars which Kwara United won 3-1.

It will be recalled that the LMC imposed the sanction of playing the game against 3SC with no fans following the encroachment of some supporters after the win against Rivers United in Ilorin in match-day 26 duel.

“Kwara United to play home matches behind closed doors until when the League Management Company is satisfied that crowd control measures are adequate.” the LMC explained in their letter to the Chairman of Kwara United.

As things stand, Kwara United will tackle Akwa United on Sunday in Ilorin without fans in NPFL match-day 30 encounter.

With 9 games to go this season in the NPFL, Kwara United have more five home games to play at the Kwara State Stadium Complex in Ilorin.

The remaining home fixtures will see Coach Abdullahi Biffo and his boys face Akwa United, Katsina United, Sunshine Stars, and a double home ties against Nasarawa United and MFM.

On the road, the Harmony boys will play Lobi Stars, Enyimba, Niger Tornadoes and last game of the term in Owerri against Heartland on July 17th.

While they continue to push for a continental ticket, the Kwara State-owned club are currently occupying 6th position on the NPFL table amassing 43 points from 29 games.
