Again, suspected gunmen on Friday killed two persons in Mawofi village, Atyap Chiefdom, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The Informant247 gathered that many houses were also burnt by the gunmen who stormed the village in their large numbers.
According to the source, “How can one explain a situation where the attackers moved from one village in Atyap land to another perpetuating their mission without anyone stopping them?
“It is now for the world to see and judge if these attacks are reprisals or purely attacks by the perpetrators to achieve their evil mission.”
When contacted for confirmation of the incident, the Kaduna Police Command spokesman, DSP Mohammed Jalige could not respond to a call put to his phone.

The Informant247 had reported that a woman was killed by suspected gunmen in an attack on Wednesday night at Runji (Sankwab) village, Atyap Chiefdom in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
It was gathered that the attack was the third one in three weeks, saying the first casualty was when about 33 persons were killed and about 40 houses completely razed down by the attackers.
A source from the village, who told newsmen, added that houses were also burnt down and the Baptist Church in the area was not spared by the attackers.
According to the source, “The attackers came to the village in their numbers to carry out their mission but for the quick intervention of the military personnel, the situation was brought under control and as l am talking to you, a search is ongoing to ascertain the number of casualties suffered in the area.”
The source called on the federal and Kaduna State governments to take proactive measures to avert the ugly incidents happening in Atyap land, saying that the inhabitants had witnessed incessant attacks leading to the loss of lives and destruction of valuables.
