Again! Flood hits another community in Mokwa
Kpautagi, a village under the Mokwa Local Government Area of Niger State,in the early hours of Saturday, June 14, was hit by a devastating flood following a heavy downpour that lasted through the night.
Eyewitnesses report that the torrential rain began late on Friday night and continued into the early morning.
According to a local news outlets, Tswangi TV, the flood submerged farmlands, homes, and key access roads.
However, The Informant247 can’t confirm the extent of damage caused by the flood either on properties on residents, but reports has it that several residents have been displaced, with many seeking refuge in nearby higher ground.
The flood in Kpautagi is coming barely two weeks following the tragic flash flood that swept across some communities in Mokwa town, which left over 200 lives dead and thousands displaced.
