AbdulRazaq mourns New Telegraph editor, Waheed Bakare

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State on Saturday commiserated with the management of New Telegraph Newspaper over the passing of its Saturday Editor, Mr. Waheed Bakare.

The governor, in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Rafiu Ajakaye, in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, also condoled with the family, the entire newspaper industry and people of Ajase-Ipo over the passing of the renowned journalist, saying “it was one death, too many”.

Ajakaye quoted the governor to have said, “The senior journalist was a definition of humility, kindness, brilliance, and dedication to work. He epitomised the resilience and enterprising spirit of the Kwara person. We stand firmly with the family in this trying period, and pray the Almighty Allah to comfort them, ease his account, and grant him aljannah Firdaus.”
