AbdulRazaq is an ingrate: Ex-APC aspirants reiterate stand

…insist Kwara gov running “family govt”

The All Progressive Congress’ Kwara House of Assembly aspirants has reiterated their allegations that the State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is running a ‘family’ government and describing him as an ingrate.

A statement issued by the House of Assembly Aspirants Forum’s chairman and secretary, Uthman Bayero – Hon. kazeem Bolanta stated that they could not have ordinarily disclaimed the earlier letter but the aspirant who issued the said disclaimer was “either under pressure or under duress to do so”.

The statement read, “We wish to register our profound gratitude to the Majority Leader, Kwara State House of Assembly, Honourable Magaji Olawoyin for his spontaneous and quick intervention following our letter with the above caption which has gone viral.

“First, we wish to state without mincing words that the content of the letter represents one hundred percent true position and grievances of the members of the forum who as stated in the letter, spent their hard earned resources and reputation to bring about victory for the present government. This is a statement of fact and nothing but plain truth and absolute reflection of the minds of all aspirants of our great party, the APC.

“Any attempt to disclaim or rubbish this majority position of our members can be best described as a calculated attempt to score cheap political score by doing eye service which has be found to be one of the factors responsible for the down fall of leaders because they preferred to be told sweet lies instead of bitter truth.

“To our Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdultazaq, we wish to let him know, that “a family member that confronts you on an issue is far better than an enemy pretending to be your friend but waiting for your down fall in the end”.

“Our message is simple, we are not at war with the Governor other than to let him realise our grievances which is of course normal in a sane society. It is important to state here expressly and categorically that, majority of us are not looking for appointment and recognition as being touted by the social media e-rats who know nothing about our struggle and antecedent before they started spewing gibberish, anyway we do not have time for that now, After all, everyone prays to reap where he or she has sown.

“Our Forum has a national body that is being managed by reputable and respected party men and women. That election has been concluded does not make the forum irrelevant, because it was formed after the primary election to assist the party. In February this year we held our 2020 NEC meeting in abuja before the outbreak of COVID19 pandemic, so insinuation by some people that we ceased to exist after the election is nonsensical!

“As party loyalists in our own respect, inclusion in governance is all that we demand which we think it is not too much given our credentials and the roles played in the party’s victory. Definitely all of us can not be appointed, this explains why we are not basically talking about appointments but inclusive governance.

“Finally, while we await feedback following our meeting with the House Leader, we wish to emphasis that, this our agitation is fully supported by 95% of our members and that the remaining are double faced fellows who are hypocritical, mischievous, selfish and betrayer of the Majority.”
