AbdulRazaq further relaxes curfew from 6am to 8pm in Ilorin
The governor of Kwara state, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has further reviewed the curfew earlier imposed on the state to help contain the wanton looting of private businesses and destruction of public properties by hoodlums.
The curfew now starts at 8p.m. and ends at 6a.m. daily.
This is coming three days after the Governor had eased the 24-hour curfew to start from 6pm to 8am daily.
The reviewed curfew hours was contained in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Rafiu Ajakaye, on Wednesday.
The statement asked residents of the state to go about their lawful duties without fear.
“The curfew in Ilorin metropolis has been reviewed. Movement is now restricted only between 8p.m. and 6a.m.,” the statement reads in part.
“Kwarans may see more joint patrols by security agencies within the metropolis and across the state. It is to strengthen the gains of the past few days and keep criminal elements at bay.”
