8 arrested for stealing phone inside Kano mosque
Officials of the Kano State Hisbah board have apprehended eight people for stealing a phone inside a mosque in Kano.
The Hisbah commander, Harun Ibn Sina, disclosed this at a news conference on Tuesday, saying the suspects were apprehended at the Al-Furqan mosque in the Nasarawa area of Kano.
The commander revealed the suspects were rounded up at the point of getting high on drugs near the mosque.
He however called on the people to always be at alert and signal nearest security agency in the presence of any suspicious movement, reaffirming that his board will continue to work towards the safety of the people of the state.
