65 years old man remanded over murder in Kwara
A sixty-five years old Abdulsalam Saheed Akanbi who was fingered in the murder of one Sanni Abubakar has been remanded in the Correctional Service Centre, Ilorin, Kwara State.
The matter was reported at the Bode-Saadu Police Station by one Idris Abubakar, the deceased family after sighting the lifeless body of his 19 years old brother in the bush.
During the police investigation, a spot with traces of blood, cleverly covered with sand to conceal the evil act was found in Akanbi’s farm.
The Informant247 reports that the prosecutor, Zacchaeus Folorunsho prayed the court to remand Akanbi, submitting that the matter involved culpable homicide and it’s not ordinarily bailable.
Magistrate Abdulraheem Bello who presided over this matter, ordered Akanbi’s remand while the matter was adjourned to 24th of this month.
