50th Anniversary: Kwara College presents meritorious award to Hon. AbdulSalam Abdullahi

The Alumni Association of the Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin, has presented meritorious award to Hon. AbdulSalam Abdullahi AbdulRauph In commemoration of the college’s 50th anniversary.
In a statement by the association on Thursday, they described Hon. AbdulSalam as an exemplary alumnus who graduated in 2000.
The association also honored other 49 distinguished personalities across various walks of life.
According to the statement, “Hon. AbdulSalam’s meritorious award recognizes his outstanding contributions as a student leader between 1998 and 2000, which brought Kwara State College of Education Ilorin to the forefront of student activities and unionism in Kwara State”.
“His notable contributions to the development of Kwara State College of Education Ilorin and the student environment in Kwara State include Building a secretariat for NAKSS as its President, reviving and leading the National Headquarters of NAKSS at the national level, co-founding the National Association of Nigeria Colleges of Education Students (NANCES), serving as the first Convention Chairman of NANS/JCC Kwara Chapter, contributing to the stability of the Alumni Association of Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin.
“This award is a testament to Hon. AbdulSalam’s dedication, leadership, and commitment to the growth and development of Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin, and the student community”, the statement concluded.
