46 year-old popular Oyo lawmaker, Olusegun Popoola dies at teaching hospital

A member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Ademola Olusegun Popoola has died.

The Informant247 gathered that Popoola died on Wednesday.

The Informant247 observes that Ademola Olusegun Popoola is the lawmaker representing Ibadan South-East Constituency II at the Oyo State House of Assembly.

It was gathered that the legislator gave up at the University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan.

Popoola got elected in 2019 under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Popoola reportedly died after suffering from a kidney-related disease.

The 46 year old lawmaker was the Chairman, House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters.

Oyekunle Oyetunji, the Media Adviser to the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin, confirmed the news about the lawmaker on Wednesday.

He said, “Yes. Confirmed”.
